Weekend Metro Disruptions in Warsaw: February & March 2025

Warsaw metro passengers should prepare for temporary disruptions in February as maintenance work is set to begin at the Kabaty station and its adjacent tunnels. According to city officials, over 7,000 lighting fixtures need to be dismantled and replaced in the station and the tunnels stretching from Kabaty to Imielin. Additionally, the wiring, security, and control systems will undergo necessary upgrades.

Planned Schedule and Service Adjustments

While preliminary assembly work has already commenced, certain tasks require shutting off the power supply, making it impossible for trains to operate. To minimize inconvenience, these works will take place on weekends, resulting in limited metro service on the M1 line.

During the first stage of the project, scheduled for the weekends of February 1-2, 8-9, and 15-16, 2025, metro trains will only run between Młociny and Wilanowska stations. Normal service will resume on Friday nights leading into Saturday mornings.

Temporarily Closed Stations

The following stations will be out of service during the specified weekends:

  • Służew
  • Ursynów
  • Stokłosy
  • Imielin
  • Natolin
  • Kabaty

Alternative Transportation Options

To assist commuters during the disruption, a replacement bus line, ZM1, will operate along the affected metro route, running from Kabaty to Wilanowska station. Passengers are advised to check updated timetables and allow extra travel time.

City authorities encourage residents to plan ahead and use alternative routes where possible. Further updates on metro operations will be provided as the project progresses.
