Man Brandishes Gun in Central Poznań, Prompting Swift Police Response

City surveillance operators in Poznań played a crucial role in averting potential danger early Thursday morning after spotting two men behaving aggressively in the city center. One of the individuals was seen brandishing what appeared to be a firearm, pointing it toward the air and nearby surroundings.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. and was immediately reported to local police by vigilant city monitoring staff. According to a statement from the Poznań Municipal Police, the two men were also caught on CCTV smashing glass panels on roadside barriers along Marcinkowskiego Avenue.

Police patrols quickly located and detained the suspects on nearby Święty Marcin Street. Both individuals were transported to a police station for further investigation.

Upon inspection, the object in question was determined to be a replica gun that shoots plastic pellets. “It turned out that the man was brandishing a gun on plastic balls,” a city guard spokesperson confirmed.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident and assess potential charges. No injuries were reported.
