International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which takes place from November 20-28 every year, was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and was held from January 16 to January 24. The ceremony was held at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium. Film festival got kick started its first hybrid mode edition, where delegates participated and watched films and events virtually.
Zofia Stafiej won best actor, female, for her role in Piotr Domalewski’s comedy-drama Polish film “I Never Cry”. Liu Tzu-Chuan won best actor, male. Anders Refn’s WWII saga “Into the Darkness” (Denmark) and Ko Chen-Nien’s abuse drama “The Silent Forest” (Taiwan) won the major prizes at the 51st IFFI in Goa.
Multiple Academy Award-winning cinematographer Vittorio Storaro was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony.
