Deputy Minister of health Waldemar Kraska was asked on March 8 about vaccinating younger groups. In his opinion, people in their 30s or 40s could have access to COVID-19 vaccines between April and June.
He added that although the Ministry of Health still does not have a “hard delivery schedule,” more and more companies are applying for the registration of new vaccines at the European Medicines Agency.
He also said on Monday that he would like to vaccinate at least 60-70 percent Poles by the summer vacation. He added that companies producing vaccines declare quite large deliveries of vaccine volumes, and Poland is logistically prepared to carry out mass vaccinations.
On March 11, registration for those born in 1952 will start. Nearly-90 percent of those teachers who have come forward are vaccinated.
