The presidential plane landed at the airport in Rzeszów around 1400hrs today. The minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak and the US ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski were present at the airport to receive Joe Biden.
President Joe Biden’s visit to Poland is very important and historic, due to the number of actions and decisions taken over the last few weeks. Joe Biden will focus on security issues, on the situation around Ukraine, strengthening NATO’s eastern flank, and also on how Polish people, Polish government, local governments and non-governmental organizations work to support Ukrainian refugees.
Joe Biden’s visit to Poland will resemble a complicated military operation. In order to ensure the security of the US president, Rzeszów and Warsaw will turn into military ground for two days. Tomorrow Joe Biden will be meeting the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda at the Royal Castle of Warsaw.
In the streets of Warsaw, preparations with increased security controls have been underway since today morning for Joe Biden’s visit. The US President will visit the National Stadium, where he will meet with refugees from Ukraine, as well as hold a conversation with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and give a speech at the Royal Castle.
