The Pole is among the final five nominees in the Cinematographer, as announced by the Academy of Motions Picture Arts and Sciences on Monday.

Along with Mr Wolski, Joshua James Richards (“Nomadland”), Erik Messerschmidt (“Mank”), Phedon Papamichael (“The Trial of the Chicago 7”) and Sean Bobbitt (“Judas And The Black Messiah”) were also nominated for best cinematography.

Viola Davis (“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”), Andra Day (“The United States vs. Billie Holiday”), Vanessa Kirby (“Pieces of a Woman”), Frances McDormand (“Nomadland”) and Carey Mulligan (“Promising Young Woman”).

The Best Leading Actor award is between Gary Oldman (“Mank”), Chadwick Boseman (“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”), Riz Ahmed (“Sound of Metal”), Anthony Hopkins (“The Father”) or Steven Yeun (“Minari”).

The Oscars is the most prestigious ceremony in the film world and the awards are given by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.

This year, the statuettes will be awarded for the 93rd time, is set to take place in Hollywood on April 25.
