This year’s Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine is awarded to the American scientists David Julius and Ardem Patapoutian, for their discoveries of “receptors for temperature and touch.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded 112 times to 224 Nobel Prize laureates between 1901 and 2021.
