The government decided to change the quarantine quarantine rules upon arrival in Poland. According to the new rules, everyone will find it, regardless of whether they come from the Schengen area or outside it. However, there will be a possibility of dismissal. The changes will come into force on Tuesday, March 30.
- Travelers from outside the Schengen area from quarantine are not exempted from the test performed in the country from which they come
- But each of the visitors, both from the Schengen area and from outside it, can take the test in Poland and if the result is negative, they will be released from quarantine.
- People crossing the state border by plane can test for COVID-19 before the Border Guard checks
Each of the visitors, both from the Schengen area and outside it, will be able to take the test in Poland and if the result is negative, the traveler will be released from quarantine.
Travelers are required to submit the test result in Polish or English at the request of a Border Guard or Police officer.
If the traveler does not have a negative test result with him before going to the public area, he is obliged to provide the officer with the data necessary to impose the obligation to undergo quarantine, i.e. the address of residence or the place of stay where the traveler will be quarantined and a contact telephone number.
A negative test result performed after crossing the border within 48 hours also exempts from quarantine , and the laboratory performing the test will enter this result into the IT system of the state sanitary inspection.
The change will particularly affect those traveling to Poland from EU countries by their own car, because so far they have not been subject to mandatory quarantine.
