Vinka and Poonam have begun the championship on a winning note in the World youth boxing championships in Kielce, Poland. In the pre-quarterfinals on Thursday, Vinka and Poonam will take on Tara Bohatjuk of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Beata Varga of Hungary respectively.

In the men’s round, India’s Vikas shines at AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Kielce. Vikas exhibited technical ability and physical stamina as he defeated Bulgaria’s two-time European Boxing Union youth champion Yasen Radev, who had won all of his major continental and international tournaments. Vikas was stronger in the exchanges and remained the fresher fighter in the third round to secure his progress into the last 16.
