Farmers from AgroUnia are protesting in Warsaw. In the early morning, they blocked the road with a dozen or so tractors. As a part of the protest, cabbage was scattered at the crossroads. The police arrived at the scene.

The head of AgroUnia, Michał Kołodziejczak, announced a strike on Friday on RMF FM. He said, “I do not think there has been such a protest yet. For as long as I can remember, many people have dreamed of having tractors in Warsaw, and let’s expect it soon. We will drive through the city. Like it or not – tractors do not run very fast, so there will certainly be difficulties in traffic. We cannot rule it out.”

The union wrote in social media: “As we said, we did so. We came and we are still in tractors on the streets of Warsaw.” Around 5.00 am, farmers blocked the intersection of Płocka and Kasprzaka Streets in Warsaw’s Wola district. A video posted on the Facebook of the farmers’ union AgroUnia, shows one of the protesters pouring cabbage on the road.
