In total, the bank’s customers from Wola district, lost about PLN 170,000. An employee of one of the branches robbed them. The target was mainly the elderly and the sick. The woman heard 27 allegations. She faces up to 10 years in prison.
The 29-year-old usually chose the elderly, often sick, who had large sums of money on their accounts. She chose regular clients who carried out transactions, and she was often their long-term financial advisor. She easily won their trust and was convincing in what she did. They trusted her to such an extent that they did not check the amount of money on their accounts.
Her criminal activities were discovered by police officers from the department for combating economic crimes of the Warsaw headquarters. The woman was detained at the workplace.
