Today is the 100th day of the ongoing vaccination program against Corona in the country. In 16 days from 16 January to 24 April i.e. more than 14 crore 8 lakh 2 thousand i.e. 10% of the country’s population has been given the vaccine dose. Out of these, 11.8 million people have been given a dose. 2 crore 22 lakh people have taken both doses. According to experts, it is necessary to vaccinate 70% of the country’s population, so that there is no further wave of corona.

From May 1, people with 18+ will be able to get vaccinated
till now. Health care workers, front line workers, people above 45 years of age and people suffering from other serious diseases were being vaccinated for free. With effect from May 1, the central government has also got approval to get vaccinated for people above 18 years of age.

However, this time the central government has decided that these people between 18 and 45 years should either get vaccinated in private hospitals or get vaccinated under the arrangement being done by the state government. Meaning people of these ages will not be given free vaccine by the central government.

People over the age of 45 will continue to be vaccinated for free as before. In such a situation, 13 states have announced to apply the vaccine free of cost to people of all ages.

1. Uttar Pradesh

The Yogi Aditya Nath government of the state has decided to apply Covid-19 vaccine free to people aged 18 years and above from May 1. This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting. In this state with a population of 22 crore, only 1.2 crore people have been vaccinated so far. So far, 10 lakh 51 thousand 314 people have been affected by the infection. Of these, 7 lakh 52 thousand 211 people have been cured, while 10 thousand 959 patients have died. That is, the state government will vaccinate people between 18 and 44 years of age and those above 45 for free.

2. Madhya Pradesh

Shivraj Singh Chauhan government of the state has announced to provide free vaccine to all people above 18 years of age. He said that the entire cost of vaccination would be borne by the state government itself. So far, 4 lakh 85 thousand 703 people have been affected by the infection in Madhya Pradesh. Of these, 3 lakh 91 thousand 299 people were cured, while 5041 have died. 89 thousand 363 patients are currently being treated. So far 79 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state.

The vaccination program is already running for free here. Then he engaged in private hospital or in government. The free vaccination was announced before the Bihar assembly elections. When Nitish became the Chief Minister, in the first meeting of the cabinet, he had given the approval to give the vaccine for free. After which the vaccine is being given free of cost to all in the state. Now from May 1, the vaccine will be given to people above 18 years of age, it will also be free.

4. Delhi

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that all 2 crore people of the state will be vaccinated for free. Delhi is one of the states with the highest number of infections. So far, 10 lakh 4 thousand 782 people have been infected by the infection here. Of these, 8 lakh 97 thousand 804 people have been cured, while 13 thousand 898 patients have died. There are 93 thousand 80 patients who are undergoing treatment. So far, 29.6 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state.

5. Chhattisgarh

Free vaccination has also been announced in the Congress-ruled state of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that every effort will be made to prevent infection in the state. In view of this, youths above the age of 18 years will also be vaccinated for free. So far, 6 lakh 39 thousand 696 people have been affected by the infection. Of these, 5 lakh 9 thousand 622 people have been cured, while 7,111 patients have died. 1 lakh 22 thousand 963 patients are currently being treated. So far 53.2 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state.

6. Punjab is the
second Congress-ruled state, where free vaccination has been announced for people of all ages. Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that the vaccination program in the state would be very fast. So far, 29.3 lakh people have been vaccinated in this state with a population of 3 crores. So far, 3 lakh 32 thousand 110 people have been infected here. Of these, 2 lakh 77 thousand 189 people have been cured, while 8356 patients have died. There are 46 thousand 565 patients who are undergoing treatment.

7. Kerala
Kerala is the second most infected state in the country. So far, 13 lakh 77 thousand 187 people have been affected by the infection. Of these, 11 lakh 73 thousand 202 people have been cured, while 5081 patients have died. There are 1 lakh 98 thousand 572 patients who are undergoing treatment. In this state with a population of 3.5 crore, 68.7 lakh people have been vaccinated.

8. Assam
BJP-ruled state has recently held assembly elections. The state government has issued an order to all the people of the state to apply the vaccine for free. So far, 2 lakh 35 thousand 689 people have been infected. Of these, 2 lakh 18 thousand 958 people have been cured, while 1,186 patients have died. There are 14,198 patients who are undergoing treatment. So far 20.1 lakh people have been vaccinated here.

9. In the
state of Jharkhand , 1 lakh 95 thousand 844 people have been infected by the infection so far. Of these, 1 lakh 48 thousand 364 patients have been cured, while 1,888 patients have died. There are 45 thousand 592 patients who are undergoing treatment. In this state with a population of 3.7 crores, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has announced to install the vaccine free of cost to all. So far, 29.7 lakh people have been vaccinated here.

10. Goa In
this state with a population of 15.4 lakh, 75 thousand 184 people have been infected by the infection so far. Of these, 62 thousand 113 people have been cured, while 993 patients have died. There are 12 thousand 78 patients who are undergoing treatment. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has ordered free vaccination of everyone in the state in view of the increasing cases of corona. So far, 6.1 lakh people have been vaccinated here.

11. Sikkim
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has announced to provide free of cost vaccine to people of all ages in the state. So far, 7,158 people have been infected in this state with a population of 6.6 lakh. Of these, 6069 people have been cured, while 798 patients are still under treatment. 137 people have lost their lives due to infection. So far, 1.9 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state.

12. In Rajasthan, 2.90 crore people between 18 and 45 years of age will have free vaccination. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced this on social media. It will cost 3000 crores rupees. CM Gehlot wrote that it would have been better that according to the demand of the State Governments, the Government of India would have incurred the cost of vaccination of the youth between the age of 18 and 45 years, like those aged 60 and 45 years, then the impact on the state budget does not happen.

13. Maharashtra
Uddhav Thackeray government will also introduce free vaccines to people between the ages of 18 and 45 years. Nawab Malik, a minister in the government, told on social media that in the previous cabinet, it was unanimously decided that all the citizens of Maharashtra, who are between 18-45 years of age, will get the government vaccinated with their money.
