Anuradha Roy Crowned Miss India Poland 2024: A Moment of Pride for India

In a proud moment for India, 27-year-old Anuradha Roy has been crowned Miss India Poland 2024, marking a historic achievement in the inaugural beauty pageant for Indians residing in Poland. Organized by Razvi Events and the India Poland Women’s Federation, the event celebrated Indian talent and culture on a global stage. Anuradha also secured the Miss Photogenic title during the same ceremony held in Poland.

The competition began with hundreds of contestants, culminating in a final round of 16 participants. Anuradha’s victory shines as an inspiration to many, showcasing her perseverance and multifaceted talents.

A Journey Rooted in Excellence

Anuradha, originally from Guwahati, Assam, completed her secondary education at Khanapara Kendriya Vidyalaya and pursued Higher Secondary in Arts from Army Public School. She later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi, followed by a Master’s in Criminology.

Her academic pursuits didn’t stop there. In 2021, she received a prestigious scholarship from the Polish government to further her education, leading her to obtain a Master’s in Clinical Psychology in Poland. Currently, she balances her role as an executive in a private company with her passion for psychology, which she practices during her free time.

Miss India Poland 2024: A New Beginning

While Anuradha now plans to compete in the Miss India World pageant in New York, her victory has also sparked excitement for the future of the beauty pageant. Dr. Shelly Sharma, director of the Indian Beauty Pageant Poland, announced plans to expand auditions for Miss India Poland 2025 to three major cities across the country.

“This year, we aim to reach more cities to find the most talented and deserving candidates. Miss India Poland is more than a pageant; it’s a platform to celebrate Indian heritage and empower women,” said Dr. Shelly Sharma.

A Source of Pride for India

Anuradha’s accomplishment reflects her determination and resilience, rooted in her heritage and enriched by her global experience. Her ancestral ties to Shillong and upbringing in Guwahati have played a significant role in shaping her personality and values.

Speaking to News18 Assam, Anuradha shared her joy and gratitude:
“This title is not just mine; it belongs to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. It’s an honor to represent India on an international platform.”

As Anuradha prepares for her next challenge in New York, her success serves as an inspiration to young talents aspiring to make their mark both at home and abroad.
